DAAWEITZA DANGEROUSLY WELL HANDICAPPED
On what looked quite an ordinary card for a Chester evening meeting during the week, a performance on the clock has me thinking about a well handicapped and improving gelding of Brian Ellison’s. A son of Daawe a useful handicapper in his day, and a horse who from limited chances and thrown a few useful sorts for such a small fee.
A horse which has won over a variety of trips ranging from 7-9F, DAAWEITZA took off like a jet-plane when asked to assert and won well despite the jockey dropping his whip. Rated just 83, Daaweitza has clocked a time here which would make him a major player in a big handicap, and perhaps even a Listed contest.
There’s plenty of room for another two or three handicaps wins, and he should be followed.

Runs tomorrow on favoured conditions in a ladies handicap. Worth a few quid I’d say despite top weight.
