Cesare one to follow this year

Cesare is in my mind a genuine group class horse in the making. He’s made a steady step-up in class after getting the hang of racing and he’s still only lightly raced at six-years-old and the way he came back yesterday would suggest he’s better than ever.
Held up early on he gradually was manoeuvred into the race before striking on a furlong out, all under hands and heels riding and basically on the bridle.
He’s only had 13 races to date, winning 7 of those and most notably the Royal Hunt Cup when getting the better of Stronghold (Later went on to be a Group 3 winner). Hinterland went onto win a Heritage Handicap at Sandown, and Pinpoint went on to win the John Smiths Cup and Spring Cup.
That’s only a few I’ve named there so the form is seriously strong and with a hot summer forecasted this horse should get his ground all-year and can definitely play a hand in some big group prizes this summer.
He’s beaten some very useful yardsticks in Illustrious Blue and Dunelight practically on the bridle and setting a new course record in the process.
I wouldn’t rule him out of running over ten furlongs as the way his race comments suggest and breeding would definitely give him every chance of improving further over the longer trip, however I have no doubt about it that Cesare is potentially top class.
He hasn’t got any entries now but I’m sure connections will now be looking towards group company, and he’d be a shoe in, in any Group 3 or Group 2 race based on what I’ve got in front of me here.
I’ve rated him to around 99.64 to an All-Age Group 1 Par, and if I take out the race won by Italian Girl (Round course), I get him rated to 100 exactly.
So I’ve made a rating I’m somewhat happy with between the two and it reads…
Cesare 99.82+
